In memory of Mark Yeske
The ASTRAL KITCHEN will always be grateful to Mark for his contribution to the band. He penned some of our great tunes like "Hanging out on Earth", "The girl made sandwiches", and the "Devil finds work", and more songs that we never recorded decently, or at all. Mark was a great bass player to boot, he always had a catchy bass line with, with a unique tone that was distinctly his. And for what it is worth, he NEVER took things TOO seriously. I can still hear his laughter when I come to practice, and I FEEL him often in spirit (probably to make sure we don't mess up his songs). I can really appreciate my friendship with Mark, both musically, and spiritually, even though he is gone, through his music. I think that he would be proud that his achievements live on in the artistic form in which he loved so dearly. I will from time to time, add photos, or some home movies we made for those of us who knew , and loved Mark. I still get emails from people asking me "How Mark is?" and I feel my eyes well up with tears, having to break the news of his death to our old friends. So with that said , I bid you farewell my old friend,. and I hope to see you again someday on the other side.
We love you man........
Chris, and Norbert
